congratulations of finishing the film. I can't wait to see it. Couple of questions - what kind of cameras did you shoot it with? Will the doc get an eventual dvd release?
Many congrats on getting the film finished. We are the LOOKIN' FOR LUCKY guys from MYSPACE (sent you a message there too) We are in Cannes now, you can reach us on myspace.com-lookinforlucky - desperate to see your film and have a few beers - give us a shout...
Hello Black AND White.... I saw your film "LYNCH" last Friday at the IFC... Truly wonderful... Thanks for sharing your amazing journey as filmmaker and talent as artist.
Before the screening you mentionated that you don't have a real budget to promote the film... What about some viral marketing. I don't know if you have heard about Behance Network.
It's basically a place for creative people to network... Check it out and maybe put the trailer there... I'm pretty sure they are many people that would appreciate your work.

I haven't seen Island Empire yet, but am looking forward to is, as I do all your films. The comments you made in this weeks NYT about the small screen resonated with me. I just bought a 47 inch LCD TV so that solves my problem. Wild at Heart looks terrific on this monster. Colors are superb! I always use good earphones so the sound is also magnificent.
One of the things I love about your working method, if there is one, is the use of an ensemble cast: Laura Dern, etc. You would probably NOT want to use Kevin Spacy because he is TOO weird.
Over the course of two years we were allowed to film David Lynch as he worked on his latest film INLAND EMPIRE. Footage was gathered both on location and in David's home. This film will give the most current perspective on one of cinema's greatest directors and will bring to life his creative process and joy for living life to its fullest potential.
DIRECTOR'S NOTE:
The items posted are my log notes from each of the tapes shot as well as creative ideas which may or may not make it into the final film. These items will be posted as often as possible. ALL PHOTOS AND TEXT ARE SUBJECT TO COPYRIGHT LAW.
MISCELLANEOUS
The director began filming David in December 2004 when he went to Lodz, Poland to work on INLAND EMPIRE and photograph abandoned factories. In February of 2005, the director travelled to Los Angeles where he lived at David's residence and filmed him on a daily basis for seven months, documenting not only David's filmmaking process but also each of his other creative interests. After primary filming was completed, the director spent the next year isolated in a mountain home in Guffey, Colorado. He would leave twice to film David, first travelling to Lodz in January of 2006 and then to New York City in October of that same year. In December of 2006 the director returned to Los Angeles to complete the film.
